"Description": "Download and read the public, non-identified microdata of\nthe 'RAIS' (Relação Anual de Informações Sociais), the annual\ncensus of formal employment relationships and establishments\npublished by the Brazilian Ministry of Labour and Employment\nthrough the 'PDET' FTP server\n. Lists the years\nand archives available on the server, resolves which regional\nor state archive holds a given state, downloads it with an\nidempotent local cache, and reads the '7z' archives as a\nstream, filtering by state and selecting columns before\nanything is kept in memory, so that a single state can be\nextracted from a regional file of tens of millions of records.\nHandles the two header generations of the files (up to the\n'RAIS' 2022 and from the 'RAIS' 2023 onwards) with the same\nnormalized column names, provides the official record layout\nand a helper to consolidate the employment stock, admissions,\nseparations and December payroll.",
